Darina Allen I ain't
I must admit its not been the Black Tuesday I have building it up to be, first day back in work was actually OK.
It was Juliannes birthday in work, she's hit 25- now I have someone to share the crisis that occurs when one hits the quarter life. I shudda been getting psyched up to go out with the work crew but something about Desparate Housewives is postponing the post work drinks event until tomorrow when we bail around to mine and drink what free drink we all received through work. Happy Days, Cheap Days.
Christmas and New Year have come and gone so fast, I feel rested though I feel my holidays were weeks ago. This Christmas was a good catch up with the home crew, even a reuniting of some old school chums and bonding over really bad karaoke occurred.
But the highlight was to be and was that of Bresser and Phils wedding. Twas a great day, snow was forecast but it seemed Mr Frost was too busy elsewhere in the world, the sun shone, the bride looked beautiful and the groom was calm and everyone had a great day and even more importantly everybody got equally as wasted as the next person. When everyone was finely fed and overly watered the DJ climaxed the night by playing the Saw Doctors, most of us made it off the dancefloor with our toenails entact, Darby! The drink flowed until a respectable half five and then it was up the next morning to start all over again for New Years Eve in the hotel, can't say I was as destroyed but enjoyed myself none the less.
From that to Funderland, pikey central. Managed to stomach three rides, which was quite a naive achievement considering the three course meal had in the previous hour, we than sojourned to Debs apartment for another lovely dinner which was to be followed by a chocolate mousse I then made, which turned out to be solid, weighing a ton and tasting of egg. Then we had a helping of Team America, "Matt Damon"and Bad Santa, ahh those sandwiches....
I have a feeling it will be a good year.
Saying that, the pressure is on, to buy a house or meet a man or get a car with power steering, God imagine I had to do one at the least? Chances. Towards the end of the year I realised how many people from my year in school are either married or engaged,it's looking like roughly 50% and to top that my first proper boyfriend got engaged. In the words of Kim John Il....Herrroh!!One of these days I will get my act sorted, but until then I shall spend my nights on Camden Street with my only responsibility in life is remembering to close my front door which might actually be my New Years resolution to learn how to do after a night out.

My own New Year's resolutions are simply to find the perfect pair of socks, the perfect toothpaste and the perfect mug for my tea.
Everything else is fated, no?
