It's not a bad Monday

Was on the tiles last night, haven’t done that on a Sunday for years, it’s a good night to go out I highly recommend it. Its for the people who are serious about having a good time and more often then not punters who have no work the next day, unfortunately I am not one of them. It was a quality night, I had been out in Samsara who were hosting a really good salsa night (which led me to believe with all the Brazillian punters who showed up that there’s a mafia right here in Dublin, but that’s another blog) and got a text from Jules and Tones to say they were Flannery’s bound, so I dropped all tools and legged it up there.

Now I had a bit of beef with the place last week as they played fierce poor music last Wednesday, not an inkling of Queen, Bryan Adams nor Footloose, so my faith in Flannery’s was blowing in the wind, but most definitely God was a DJ and life was a dancefloor lastnight. Two of Jules mates were out, Dave and Mark who were not afraid to throw a few shapes and were open to dance offs. “Don’t stop me now” came on and I knew we were in for a good night, then “Footloose”, “Cmon Eileen” etc, its was a magical, they ended with U2 but it wasn’t Sunday Bloody Sunday, but that’s OK. Funnily enough they don’t play the national anthem for a bit of drunken and patriotic shenanigans, but that’s OK too cos Flannery’s can do no wrong by me.

Definitely one of my top two nights in there for musak and bopping.

Still not convinced, though I admit it was quite an agreeable venue last night.

    So very hungover.
