Welcome back kids
So its back to school time, even had to share my seat on the bus for the first time in three months, the inconvenience of it all…..
Its been a fun summer, was in Prague at a wedding, stunning city, Tullamore for a hens party, Galway for my cousin’s 30th birthday, Ennis for the Special Ones family reunion, another wedding and a scoping trip out in Skerries last weekend, oh and Billy Joel- go on ye good thing!
I haven’t been one for the movies lately, I’m too preoccupied watching Will and Grace reruns coming up to the final ever episode next week. I am going to make my new hobby watching Grey’s Anatomy. Last night was the first episode of the second series, the one with the pole shot through the man and woman? Heartbreaking stuff. Although I feel Dr Grey might be a cross between Renee Zelllwegger with a hint of Ally McBeal, so we’ll see how that one pans out, must watch the first series of Grey’s Anatomy before I dive into my new hobby. Other TV highlights of the Summer, BB7 until the last week, I thought that if it had gone on for a further week the result would have been different. Love Island was addictive. Sophie Anderton, nuff said. I liked Chris Brosnan the most, he never took it too seriously and was funny and fair….. but Sophie Anderton, seriously sort yourself out love. Most ironic quote of the series; Sophie about Lee “I used to be just like him that at that age, I used to be an attention seeker just like him when I was 22,23”. I miss her.
It could be a much longer blog, but to be honest I can’t remember the ins and outs. One highlight was the day before the wedding in Prague, the Special One had upgraded us to Club Level- ie bigger rooms withfree drink and food. So at 12 that day we and Phil and Bresser laid into it with full intention of going swimming at 1pm, 1 turned into 6pm. Swimming wasn’t really what we ended up doing, it was more bellyflops, diving into the plungepool- the beer jacket was on so we didn’t notice the ice cold water and then getting kicked out of the men’s sauna, twice.
The midweek drinking has been put on hold due to a semi official warning in work, so if anyone has any Flannery's stories please send them to thosewerethedays@me.com
So what am I at this weekend? I’m going knacker drinking on Waikiki with Shinners and Lynners , smell yis after.
