Do you suys know Stacey's Mom?
It rained the first night we got to Honolulu, I say rained, the sky spat a few times, so knacker drinking was hit on the head. So we made it our mission to find the obligatory Irish bar. Eventually after being told by a cop when asking for directions that us mockers wouldn’t get in anywhere we found Kelley O’Neil’s, yes its Kelley with an e. Now I’d say it was no more Irish then the man on the moon, it was more like a playpen for the military. So there was lots of ‘yeh man’, high fives and ‘do you guys party?’ thrown out there for a laugh. We met few good men, few good men, geddit? The rest had unfortunately left their brains in Iraq. Think the first two nights we were in bed by 6pm. Rockstars. Now I don’t know how she did it but Lynners caught the flu. Full on Flu; 104 degrees temperature, achy bones, $150 on meds the works. But it wasn’t all bad it gave me an excuse to catch up on the oul day time TV. Highlights were two movies watched by 11am each morning and the Ellen Degeneres show was good too, Tyra (I’m one of you guys) Banks is not so good. Oh and I also saw the first episode of the next series of Nip/Tuck. It wasn’t worth rushing thru dinner and walking a Maui highway in the pitch black lets put it that way. I get the impression people don’t walk anywhere in Hawaii. Some of them eat a lot and some of them don’t. I saw for the first time, a pair of size 00 Jeans, we’re talking Nicole Richie proportions.
Anyway, Hawaii, sites etc, Oahu the island where Honolulu and Waikiki is just beautiful, we visited the sites and beached where Lost was shot. Lost is shot in a carpark, literally. Then we went to Maui- much more chilled out then Waikiki and a lot lot less Japanese. Again daytime TV was called for so we didn’t see too much of the island, we did see Wailea when we went to a Luau. It’s where all the rich folk like Cher and Prince have gafs, I mean palaces. They are not really big drinkers in Maui, so back to Waikiki we went. Sinead and Lynne learned how to surf- fair dues to them- I managed to make some excuse about my contact lenses getting infected, but basically I was just scared. On the way back via Newark we stopped off and went to the Jersey Gardens which is just the most ginormous mall I have ever seen, knackers galore, we hooked up with Lynnes sister who was parading her new coconuts and grass skirt with pride.
What have I been up to since then? Stuff and Stuff. The Ryder Cup at the K Club was done, Little Britain twice was done ; Ha-Larious, a hen, a weekend in the Westin- oh yes we lived it up large till we brought break for the border into the mix, the Special Ones sis got married to the Mad Mal, twas a great wedding in Waterford Castle. Now it’s nearly Christmas, kicked it off already by having a Mulled Wine night last night- v cosy.
My sis got engaged to Paddy after 10 years which was actually a shock. She’s legging it off to get married, no guests, nothing, that was news to Dad!
TV of late…….. I can take it or leave it except for Corrie and Home and Away- Grey’s Anatomy would want to start picking up speed. Elsewhere in the land of make believe, Britney dumped K-Fed, good for you love, what wasn’t so good was parading needlessly onto Letterman for all of one minute flaunting your new look, that’s just tacky love.
