High five
I was listening to Tony Fenton’s Stevie Wonder special on Today FM last night and it made me think about my top 5 songs in the closing credits of movies. Here goes.
High Fidelity; Stevie Wonders - I believe when I fall in love
Working Girl; Carly Simon – Let the river run
Down and out in Beverly Hills ; Talking Head – Once in a lifetime
Money Pit ; Stephen Bishop – The heart is so willing
Tootsie ; Stephen Bishop - It might be you
And I think Paint it black by the Rolling Stones is in the closing of the Devil’s Advocate but I’m not sure. I wanted to compile a list of opening credits, but only came up with the overture of West Side Story and "Summer in the city" in one of the Die Hard movies. The category of top 5 soundtracks is too wide open therefore too controversial to name....unless you think you are up for the challenge.

Eh tiz not my forte by a long shot...cos I dont watch telly full stop but methinks Painted Black was the closing sountrack for something like "full metal jacket" or one of those other Vietnam films (hamburger hill) or some other wartime claptrap.
I particularly like U2's "Hold Me thrill me kiss me kill me " as the closing for The first of the Modern batman films.
back to Jagger I think is it"sympathy for the Devil" (pleased to meet you) as the closing soundtrack for "Angel Heart" is pretty good.
And if youve seen the film about the Uruguay ruby team crash in the andes(cant remedmber) but they end up eating dead arses and eventually getting rescued. The song at the ednd is "Ave Maria" sung by Aron somebody or other.Thats good too.
