What happens when Payday arrives.........
My sister asks me casually what I was at this weekend, going to the Long Stone for Tones' birthday on Friday for a sneaky- celebrate- payday few and on Saturday to the Court in Naas says I.
She said in her innocence "Oh, Ive never been to the Court".
The silence. The pity I had for her. Shes two years older then me after all.
Cut to a dream sequence of life without The Court Nightclub in Naas. We would never have had the dance offs , never have scored those random punters whose names escape me now, never have learned to pole dance with Gerry, never have seen a nightclub with psychedellic carpet on its walls, never have gotten my bag robbed(poor Rachels genuine Prada is long gone) and lost some on more then one occasion, manys a piece of jewellery has been lost- but I suspect I may have pawned them for drink at some stage, never sang karoake so bad in front of strangers - that the carter twins (!) had to drown out our voices and push the volume up on the backing track, never having fallen down their two flights of stairs, never drank pints of wine out of plastic glasses.
Its neverending. Good Times I say. Do yourself a favour Emma.
And lastly to wish Murph a happy birthday- the courts the place to be, and Tony C an early Happy Birthday. Hurrah for the Radge, may he last the night and not sneak home to County Lucan on the last bus!
